About
Moreau Lake State Park sits in the Adirondack foothills just ten miles north of Saratoga Springs, providing easy access to both wilderness recreation and the cultural attractions of the Saratoga region. The 144 wooded campsites are distributed across seven loops surrounding the lake, with sites accommodating tents and trailers up to 40 feet depending on the specific site. Seven rustic cabins and two full-service cottages offer alternatives for those seeking more shelter. The park centers on Moreau Lake, which features a sandy swimming beach with lifeguards during summer months. Boat rentals are available seasonally, and the lake supports fishing. Over 40 miles of trails wind through the surrounding forest, open to hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing depending on season. A nature center provides educational programming. All camping loops have 24-hour access to comfort stations with hot showers. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring. A dump station serves RV campers, though no electric or water hookups are available at standard sites. Firewood and ice are sold at the park office, and a seasonal snack bar operates near the beach from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
