About

Savoy Mountain State Forest campground is set within a historic apple orchard in the rugged northwestern Berkshires of Massachusetts. The 45 wooded campsites offer good spacing and privacy, each equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and bear-proof food storage locker. Four log cabins provide a more sheltered option, featuring bunk beds, a table and chairs, and a wood-burning stove for heat and cooking. The campground provides flush toilets and hot showers during the main camping season, with a dump station and potable water fill station located at the park entrance. There are no hookups at any sites. The surrounding forest offers over 50 miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking, plus Tannery Falls and North Pond for swimming and fishing. Reservations are required and can be made up to four months in advance through ReserveAmerica. Each site is limited to two tents or one tent plus one RV/trailer, with a maximum of two vehicles. Pets are permitted at campsites with proof of rabies vaccination but are not allowed in cabins.
