About

Pulaski Memorial Recreation Area is a day-use park situated within the expansive 4,000-acre George Washington Management Area in western Rhode Island. The centerpiece is Peck Pond, a 13-acre body of water offering swimming with lifeguards during the summer season. The pond is stocked with trout for spring fishing, though boats and flotation devices are strictly prohibited. The park provides two reservable day-use picnic shelters for groups of up to 25 people. Shelter 01 has a 15-amp electric hookup and is located near water but does not allow pets. Shelter 02 is ADA-accessible and permits pets but has no electricity. Both shelters rent for $75 per day during the operating season. Beyond the shelters and pond, visitors can explore hiking trails during warmer months and 10 miles of groomed cross-country ski trails in winter when snow conditions permit. This is exclusively a day-use facility with no overnight camping available.
