Construction Vehicles on Scenic Drive
On a section of Scenic Drive near Cabin Camp 3, a culvert under the road was recently replaced. Use caution and follow posted speed limits. Be aware of construction vehicles on the roadway in this area.
Playground in Pine Grove Picnic Area Closed
The park is improving accessibility at the playground in Pine Grove Picnic Area. During construction, until approximately the end of December 2025, the playground is closed and 10 nearby parking spaces will be used for construction vehicles only.
About
Prince William Forest RV Campground is a privately operated concession campground situated within Prince William Forest Park, a unit of the National Park System. The campground offers 29 full hookup sites, 43 electric and water sites, and 4 electric-only sites, along with several tent-only sites. All RV sites are paved pull-throughs with single vehicle parking areas alongside each site. Amenities include heated restrooms with complimentary hot showers, a swimming pool, coin-operated laundry facilities, a small playground, and a dump station. Propane and ice are available for purchase, and firewood is sold on site. The campground features asphalt roads throughout and offers after-hours check-in for late arrivals. The location provides excellent access to the greater D.C. area, sitting approximately 28 miles from the White House, 21 miles from Mt. Vernon and Manassas Battlefield, and 4 miles from Quantico Marine Base. Potomac Mills Mall is just 5 miles away. Visitors exploring other areas of Prince William Forest Park must pay the standard park entrance fee, though valid national park passes are accepted.
Directions
From Interstate 95, take exit 152B towards Manassas and continue on Highway 234 for about 3 miles. The RV Campground is on the left, just after a school zone.
