About

The Primitive Campground at Grahams Island State Park sits on the shores of Devils Lake in northeastern North Dakota. This heavily wooded campground provides large, shaded campsites in one of the only non-seasonal campgrounds in the Devils Lake area. The unique landscape of Devils Lake makes it a destination for world-class fishing, with the park hosting numerous national and regional fishing tournaments throughout the year. Campers have access to park amenities including a four-lane boat ramp, fish cleaning station, bait shop, and gas pump. The park features over two miles of hiking and mountain biking trails through ash and oak woodlands, where visitors can observe 130 different plant species native to Grahams Island. A swim beach is located southeast of the cabins and primitive campground area. In winter, the park maintains three miles of groomed cross-country ski trails, and a packed snowshoe path is established through the primitive campground for winter exploration. The park also offers modern campsites with hookups, camping cabins, picnic shelters, and the Sivert Thompson Activity Center for group events. A centrally located dog park provides a fenced, off-leash area for pets. Grahams Island State Park is located on the southern edge of the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation in Ramsey County.
