About

Howard Campground is one of several camping areas within Grahams Island State Park, located on the ever-changing shores of Devils Lake, North Dakota's largest natural body of water. The campground includes sites 100-144, all equipped with electric and water hookups, with recent infrastructure upgrades bringing 20, 30, and 50-amp power options along with individual water hydrants at each site. The park caters heavily to anglers, featuring a bait shop, four-lane boat ramp, and fish cleaning station. Devils Lake hosts national and regional fishing tournaments and is renowned for walleye, perch, and pike. Beyond fishing, visitors can rent pontoons, swim at the beach, hike wooded trails through ash and oak stands, or let dogs run at the centrally located off-leash dog park. The Howard comfort station provides flush toilets and hot-water showers during the main camping season. Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire ring, and grill. The park also offers a dump station, playgrounds, and sports courts. Reservations can be made up to 95 days in advance through reservendparks.com.
