Presque Isle State Park
Presque Isle is a day-use only park with no overnight camping. Park hours are 5:00 AM to sunset year-round. The reservable pavilions are available May 1 through October 31.

In Pennsylvania, northern Erie County. * WHEN...From late tonight through Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Wind and wave action will cause currents on the lakeshore. Swimmers should not enter the water. Currents can carry swimmers away from shore through a sand bar and along structures extending out into the lake.

Presque Isle State Park is a unique 3,200-acre sandy peninsula extending into Lake Erie, offering Pennsylvania's only Lake Erie beaches. The park features 11 miles of beaches, multi-use trails for hiking and biking, boat launches, and a marina. The Tom Ridge Environmental Center provides free admission and serves as the park's visitor hub. This is explicitly a day-use park with no overnight camping. What appears in the reservation system are 10 pavilions and enclosed shelters available for day-use rental, including the Cookhouse, Perry Monument area, and various beach shelters. Some pavilions offer 15-20 amp electrical service for events. Facilities include comfort stations with showers, picnic areas, and a sanitary dump station at the marina for boaters. The park is open year-round from 5:00 AM to sunset daily. Visitors seeking overnight accommodations must look to nearby private campgrounds such as Sara's Campground or Presque Isle Passage RV Park on the mainland. The peninsula offers excellent opportunities for birdwatching, swimming, fishing, kayaking, and wildlife observation, but campers cannot stay overnight within park boundaries.
Directions
From I-90, take Exit 18 (Route 832 North) and follow signs to Presque Isle State Park. Continue north on Peninsula Drive to enter the park. The Tom Ridge Environmental Center is located at the park entrance at 301 Peninsula Drive, Erie, PA 16505.
