About

Midway State Park is a historic family entertainment destination on Chautauqua Lake in western New York, established in 1898 as a trolley park. It remains one of the oldest continually operating amusement parks in the nation, offering a nostalgic atmosphere with vintage rides including a classic carousel, tilt-a-whirl, go-karts, and kiddie rides. The park features mini golf, arcade games, a playground, museum, gift shop, and food concessions. Day visitors can access free docking on Chautauqua Lake, and fishing is available year-round including ice fishing in winter months. Four pavilions are available for rental for family reunions, company events, and group gatherings, with capacities ranging from 35 to 600 people. However, there is no overnight camping at this facility. Campers seeking overnight accommodations should consider nearby Allegany State Park, which offers campsites and cabins.
