Porum Landing

Closed — Open year-round with reduced services in winter. Restrooms are closed and winterized from December 1 through February 28. From October through March, there are no gate attendants on duty; a volunteer makes rounds for check-in and check-out. Limited to 14 consecutive days within any 30-day period.

Porum Landing Campground is an Army Corps of Engineers facility located on the shores of Eufaula Lake, the largest lake entirely within Oklahoma. The campground features 49 campsites spread along the lake shore, offering a mix of sunny and shaded sites with electric hookups at 15, 30, and 50 amps. Sites have water hookups, though some campsites share water spigots with adjacent sites. Eufaula Lake has long been recognized for outstanding fishing opportunities. Crappie, sand bass, catfish, and black bass in the lake reach record size, while striped bass over 40 pounds have been caught in the tailwaters below the dam. The campground provides a boat ramp for easy lake access, and a nearby marina offers additional services. A sand swim beach provides a place to cool off during warmer months. The campground includes restrooms with showers, a dump station, picnic areas with outdoor grills, and a playground. A large group picnic shelter can be reserved for up to 100 guests. Hiking trails wind throughout the surrounding hills and along the shoreline. The scenery is particularly beautiful during fall months when autumn colors are on display. Gates are open 6 AM to 10 PM daily.

Directions

From Porum, Oklahoma: take Texanna Road west for 7 miles, turn left after Sinclair towards Duchess Creek Marina, follow signs to campground. From Highway 69: Travel east 13 miles on Texanna Rd. After you cross the bridge, the campground is your second entrance on the right before the Sinclair gas station.
