Ladybird Landing Campground sits along the beaches and wooded shores of Eufaula Lake in the green hills of eastern Oklahoma. Operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this well-maintained facility offers 57 campsites spread along the shoreline, providing lake views and a quieter camping experience compared to busier recreation areas. Eufaula Lake is the largest lake located entirely within Oklahoma, with over 600 miles of shoreline and 102,000 surface acres of water. The lake has long been recognized for outstanding fishing, with crappie, sand bass, catfish, and black bass reaching record sizes. Below the dam, striped bass over 40 pounds have been caught in the tailwaters. The campground provides a boat ramp for easy lake access, and a nearby marina offers additional services. The shoreline ranges from sandy beaches to rocky bluffs, creating diverse scenery that is especially beautiful during fall when the hills display vivid autumn colors. Hiking trails wind throughout the area along the shoreline and through the hills. The campground includes most sites with electric hookups, some non-electric sites, tent-only sites, and a large reservable group picnic shelter. A playground is available for families. Nearby attractions include Robber's Cave State Park and the historic town of Eufaula with antique shops and restaurants.
