Open — Closed for the season. Opens March 30 and operates through September 28. Bathrooms are winterized November 1 through March 31. During the off-season, no gate attendants are on duty; volunteers make rounds to check in and out campers.

About

Belle Starr Campground is an Army Corps of Engineers facility located on the north shore of Lake Eufaula, Oklahoma's largest lake. The campground offers 111 extra-long and extra-wide sites spread along the lake shore, with a mix of pull-through and back-in sites. Each site includes either 30 or 50 amp electric hookups, water connections, a picnic table, and fire ring or grill. Many sites offer waterfront views of the lake. Eufaula Lake spans over 800 miles of shoreline and 105,000 surface acres, ranging from sandy beaches to rocky bluffs. The lake is renowned for its outstanding fishery, with record-size crappie, sand bass, catfish, and black bass. Below the dam, striped bass over 40 pounds have been caught in the tailwaters. The campground provides direct lake access via a boat ramp and courtesy dock. The campground includes two large reservable group picnic shelters accommodating up to 100 guests each, a playground, and a sandy swimming beach. Hiking trails wind throughout the hills and along the shoreline. The nearby Belle Starr Marina offers fishing supplies, boat rentals, and dining. Gates are open 6 AM to 10 PM daily. Camping is limited to 14 consecutive days within any 30-day period.

Directions

From Eufaula, Oklahoma, take Highway 69N to the OK-150 exit toward Texanna Road/State Park/Lake Eufaula. Turn right onto E1140 Rd/Texanna Rd. Travel east for 2 miles, turn right onto Belle Starr Rd/Northsouth 420, travel south for 2 miles to arrive at Belle Starr Campground.
