Gentry Creek Campground occupies a scenic stretch of Eufaula Lake's shoreline, Oklahoma's largest lake with over 600 miles of shoreline and 102,000 surface acres. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers operates this established campground featuring 26 paved back-in sites arranged in a wooded setting along the water. Sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet, with many offering 30/50 amp electric and water hookups. Tent-only sites are also available for those seeking a more primitive experience. The campground provides essential amenities including flush toilets, showers, and a boat ramp for direct lake access. Each site includes a fire ring, and the facility offers a playground and youth fishing pond with a picnic shelter. Hiking trails wind through the surrounding hills and along the shoreline. Eufaula Lake has long been recognized for outstanding fishing opportunities. Crappie, sand bass, catfish, and black bass reach record sizes, while striped bass exceeding 40 pounds have been caught in the tailwaters below the dam. Nearby attractions include Robber's Cave State Park and the historic town of Eufaula with its antique shops and restaurants.
