Located on the Pittsburg side of Pomme de Terre State Park overlooking the scenic 7,800-acre Pomme de Terre Lake, this open picnic shelter provides an ideal venue for family reunions, group gatherings, and special events. The facility can accommodate up to 75 guests and comes equipped with water, electricity, seating, and an outdoor grill. The shelter is available for advance reservations and is part of a park that offers comprehensive recreational opportunities including a full-service marina, swimming beach, hiking trails, and extensive camping facilities. The park is divided into two areas, Pittsburg and Hermitage, with the shelter located in the Pittsburg area. Nearby amenities include a park store selling camping supplies, playground areas, boat ramps, and beach access. The park is known for exceptional fishing opportunities, including the only true muskellunge fishing in Missouri, along with bass, walleye, catfish, and crappie.

Pomme de Terre State Park is located in Hickory County, Missouri, with access points on both the Hermitage and Pittsburg sides of Pomme de Terre Lake. From Pittsburg, take Highway 64B to reach the park entrance.
