About
Lightfoot Landing is a smaller, more peaceful campground on Pomme de Terre Lake, known locally as the 'Gem of the Ozarks.' The 35-site facility offers a quieter alternative to neighboring park areas while providing full access to one of the country's premier fishing destinations. The lake is particularly renowned for its muskie, stocked annually each fall, and maintains one of the highest catch ratios in the nation for bass, catfish, walleye, and crappie. The campground features electric and water hookups at all sites, including one ADA-accessible site. Amenities include a shower house, dump station, boat ramp with courtesy dock, playground, horseshoe pits, and a picnic shelter. The lake spans 7,790 surface acres with 113 miles of shoreline fed by the Pomme de Terre River and Lindley Creek, providing ample opportunities for power boating, water skiing, canoeing, and other water activities.
