Located in Missouri's rolling Ozark hills, Damsite Park provides direct access to Pomme de Terre Lake, a 7,790-acre reservoir with 113 miles of shoreline. The campground sits just above the dam at the confluence of Lindley Creek and the Pomme de Terre River, offering convenient boat ramp access for anglers and water recreation enthusiasts. The campground features 80 sites with electric (30/50 amp) and water hookups, plus 7 non-electric tent sites. Both back-in and pull-through configurations are available. Facilities include two shower houses with flush toilets, a dump station, playground, horseshoe pits, and a reservable picnic shelter. Sites include fire rings and picnic tables. Pomme de Terre Lake boasts one of the best catch ratios in the country. The lake is stocked annually with muskie, and crappie, largemouth bass, and white bass are abundant. A fireworks display over the dam takes place each Fourth of July weekend. Nearby attractions include dirt track racing and golf.

Directions

From Springfield, MO, take US 65 north for 60 miles to Preston, MO. Continue on Highway 54 west to Hermitage, MO, then take Highway 254/64 south to Carsons Corner and follow Highway 254 west toward the dam. The entrance to Damsite Park is on the south side of Highway 254.
