Closed — Closed for the season. Limited off-season camping with electricity, water, and dump station only is available March 15 through April 15 and October 1 through November 30 at $10 per night. Full-season operations with all amenities run from mid-April through September 30.

About

Outlet Park is an Army Corps of Engineers campground situated below the Pomme de Terre Dam in west-central Missouri's rugged Ozark hills. The campground provides excellent access to the Pomme de Terre River, the only northbound-flowing river in Missouri, making it a popular destination for fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. Anglers target crappie and bass in the river and nearby Pomme de Terre Lake, nicknamed 'the Gem of the Ozarks' for its clear, deep waters. The campground offers 19 campsites with water and electric hookups, 1 non-electric site, and a large group site that can accommodate up to 50 campers. Amenities include hot showers, a dump station, a boat ramp, fish cleaning station, multiple playgrounds, a multipurpose playing court, softball/baseball field, and horseshoe pits. The park serves as the trailhead for the 3-mile Healthy Active Community Running River Trail, ideal for hiking and running. Outlet Park operates seasonally with full amenities from mid-April through September. A limited off-season camping period runs from mid-March to mid-April and October through November, offering reduced amenities at a lower rate. The scenic location below the dam provides opportunities for wildlife viewing and outdoor recreation in the heart of the Missouri Ozarks.

Directions

From Springfield, take US Highway 65 North to Preston, then Highway 54 west to Hermitage. Go south from Hermitage on Highway 254/64 for approximately 4 miles to Carson Corner. Turn west on 254 toward Pomme de Terre Dam and continue across the dam. At the far end of the dam, turn north on the paved road and follow it to the park below the dam.
