Pokagon State Park Campground sits among rolling wooded hills, wetlands, and open meadows on the shores of Lake James and Snow Lake near Angola, Indiana. The park offers approximately 200 Class A electric sites across Campgrounds 1, 3, 4, and 5, plus 73 Class B non-electric sites in Campground 2. Each site includes a fire ring, picnic table, and grill. Electric sites feature 30 or 50 amp service, though water and sewer hookups are not available at individual sites. Back-in sites accommodate equipment ranging from 20 to 60 feet. Modern comfort stations with flush toilets and hot showers are distributed throughout the campgrounds. A dump station, drinking water fill stations, and camp store serve campers' needs. The park also offers group camping facilities, youth tent camps, and rental shelters. Beyond camping, Pokagon is known for its refrigerated toboggan run in winter, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, and sledding. Summer activities include swimming at the beach, fishing, boat rentals at the marina, volleyball, basketball, and a dog park. A Nature Center provides programming and the park features extensive hiking trails. The campground operates year-round, with Campground 3 remaining open through winter with one heated comfort station.
