About
Marzolf Shelter is one of the reservable picnic shelterhouses at Harrison Lake State Park, a 142-acre park nestled in the agricultural landscape of northwest Ohio. The shelter is located in the southern portion of the park, beyond the South Campground and near the maintenance facility, offering proximity to the boat ramp and the 105-acre Harrison Lake.
Harrison Lake was created in 1941 by damming Mill Creek and provides fishing opportunities for largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, bluegill, catfish, northern pike, and carp. The park features a 150-foot swimming beach, 3.5 miles of hiking trails that circle the lake through woodlands, and a free 9-hole disc golf course. The North Campground offers full amenities including flush toilets, showers, and laundry facilities.
Note: This is a day-use picnic shelter, not an overnight camping facility. Shelter reservations can be made up to six months in advance through Reserve Ohio, with a minimum of one day advance booking required. When not reserved, the shelter is available on a first-come first-served basis.
Directions
From State Route 20, travel 2 miles west of Fayette, Ohio to County Road 27, then south 2 miles to the park entrance.
