The shelter is currently open and accepting reservations. Reservations must be made at least 1 day in advance and can be booked up to 6 months ahead through Reserve Ohio. When not reserved, the shelter is available first-come first-served.

Overnight heat indices in the middle 70s. * WHERE...Portions of northern Indiana and northwest Ohio. * WHEN...From 2 PM EDT /1 PM CDT/ Tuesday to 8 PM EDT /7 PM CDT/ Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A period of dangerous heat and humidity is in store through at least Wednesday evening, with minimal relief Tuesday night. Chances for showers and thunderstorms should remain north of the advisory area.

Marzolf Shelter is one of the reservable picnic shelterhouses at Harrison Lake State Park, a 142-acre park nestled in the agricultural landscape of northwest Ohio. The shelter is located in the southern portion of the park, beyond the South Campground and near the maintenance facility, offering proximity to the boat ramp and the 105-acre Harrison Lake. Harrison Lake was created in 1941 by damming Mill Creek and provides fishing opportunities for largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, bluegill, catfish, northern pike, and carp. The park features a 150-foot swimming beach, 3.5 miles of hiking trails that circle the lake through woodlands, and a free 9-hole disc golf course. The North Campground offers full amenities including flush toilets, showers, and laundry facilities. Note: This is a day-use picnic shelter, not an overnight camping facility. Shelter reservations can be made up to six months in advance through Reserve Ohio, with a minimum of one day advance booking required. When not reserved, the shelter is available on a first-come first-served basis.
