About

Pine Grove Boat Access Campground offers a secluded camping experience on the east bank of the Allegheny Reservoir within Pennsylvania's Allegheny National Forest. The campground is accessible only by boat or on foot, making it ideal for paddlers and hikers seeking solitude. The nearest boat launch is Kinzua Wolf Run Marina, approximately one mile south near the Morrison Bridge on State Route 59. Alternatively, campers can reach the site via a 1/3-mile hike from Forest Road 147 (Kinzua Heights Road). The campground features 13 primitive single sites, each with access to vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings. There is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply or filter water from the reservoir. The shoreline provides swimming access, though there is no lifeguard on duty. The North Country National Scenic Trail passes directly by the campground, offering excellent hiking opportunities. Sites are first-come-first-served at $12 per night. Payment can be made on-site via fee envelope and pay tube or using the Recreation.gov mobile app's Scan and Pay feature. Interagency Recreation Passes are honored. Download the Recreation.gov app before arriving, as cellular service may be limited.

Directions

From downtown Warren, travel south on Route 6/Crescent Park Drive for 2 miles. Turn left onto Route 59 and travel east for 10.6 miles to Kinzua Wolf Run Marina. The campground is accessible by boat approximately 1 mile north of the marina, or by hiking 1/3 mile from Forest Road 147 (Kinzua Heights Road) off State Route 59.
