About
Pine Glen Group Campground sits beneath a shady canopy of Jeffrey pines at 7,800 feet in Inyo National Forest, just minutes from the full-service town of Mammoth Lakes. Nine group sites loop around the back of New Shady Rest Campground, each designed to accommodate large families or groups of 15 to 30 people. A paved walking and biking trail connects the campground to Shady Rest Town Park and downtown Mammoth Lakes. The facility provides flush toilets, potable water from a hand pump, picnic tables, campfire rings, and trash service. Each site includes a bear-proof locker (48"x30"x36"), and all food and scented items must be stored inside. This is an active bear area. Firewood is available for purchase on-site. Showers and a dump station are located within a few miles but not at the campground. The Eastern Sierra offers exceptional trout fishing at nearby creeks and lakes, plus hiking, mountain biking, and OHV trails. Day trips to Devils Postpile National Monument, Mono Basin, and Yosemite National Park are all accessible from camp.
