About
Peavine Creek Campground sits in Peavine Canyon along the southeastern slopes of the Toiyabe Mountain Range in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The year-round creek flows through the site, and campsites are nestled among cottonwoods and aspens. This free, first-come, first-served campground requires no reservations or fees. The campground serves as a base for exploring the Arc Dome Wilderness, with the Peavine and Toms Canyon Trailheads providing access to the Toiyabe Crest National Recreation Trail. Amenities are limited to vault toilets and picnic tables; campers must bring their own drinking water. Dogs are allowed but must remain on leash, and certified weed-free hay is required for pack animals. The nearest supplies are at a small store in Hadley, approximately 11 miles north of the campground. The Tonopah Ranger District office can provide current conditions and trail information.
