* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values between 105 and 115 degrees expected each day. * WHERE...Portions of northern Delaware, central and southern New Jersey, and southeast Pennsylvania. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Very warm low temperatures in the mid 70s to low 80s at night will not offer any relief from the heat. This combined with multiple days of near record breaking temperatures will exacerbate the impacts from the heat and humidity. The hottest conditions are expected to occur today through Friday.

Parvin State Park Campground sits along the south shore of Parvin Lake in Salem County, about five miles west of Vineland and 40 miles south of Philadelphia. The 56-site campground accommodates both tents and trailers, with each site equipped with a fire ring, picnic table, and lantern hook. Flush toilets and showers are conveniently located within walking distance, and a playground is nearby for families. Beyond the main campground, the park offers 4 group campsites that can each hold up to 25 people, plus 18 furnished cabins on the north shore of Thundergust Lake. The cabins include a living room with wood-burning fireplace, two bedrooms, a full kitchen with electric stove and refrigerator, and a private bathroom with shower. Two ADA-accessible cabins accommodate up to 6 people. The park encompasses over 2,000 acres of forests, wetlands, and streams, with trails for hiking and opportunities for fishing and boating on the lakes. Designated pet-friendly campsites (sites 35-56) allow up to two dogs or cats per permit with proof of current rabies vaccination.

From Vineland, take NJ Route 540 west approximately 5 miles. The park entrance is at 701 Almond Road, Pittsgrove, NJ 08318.
