About
Partridge Creek Campground is a primitive forest service campground located northeast of Elk Creek Reservoir near Elk River, Idaho, within the Palouse Corridor of the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests. This 13-site campground provides a rustic camping experience with basic amenities including picnic tables and fire rings at each site, along with vault toilet facilities. The campground serves as a convenient base for exploring the area's recreational opportunities, including the 3.5-mile Partridge Creek ATV Trail and the scenic Elk River Backcountry Byway. The town of Elk River is nearby and offers basic services. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system and no camping fees. Visitors should come prepared as there is no drinking water available on-site and no garbage services. The Forest Service requires all campers to pack out their trash. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and metal fire ring, providing the essentials for a primitive camping experience in the national forest.
Directions
From Elk River, Idaho, head northeast on Taft Street and turn left on North Front Street. Drive 0.2 miles and turn right to continue on Elk Creek Basin Road/Larch Street. In 0.4 miles turn right onto Elk Butte Road/Larch Street and continue to the campground.
