About

Parry Peak Campground sits at 9,500 feet in a shaded forest of aspen and lodgepole pine along the whitewaters of Lake Creek in San Isabel National Forest. The 25 sites operate first-come, first-served only with no advance reservations. Visitors must arrive at the campground to claim and pay for a site using cash, check, or money order at the self-service fee tube, or via the Recreation.gov Scan and Pay mobile app. The campground draws anglers to Lake Creek and hikers seeking the nearby Continental Divide Trail access. Each site accommodates up to eight people with a maximum of three tents and two vehicles, or one RV and two tents. Vault toilets are located in each loop. There is no potable water on site, so campers must bring their own supply. Firewood is available for purchase at the host site. Dogs and service animals must be leashed at all times. Check-in is at 2 p.m. and checkout at noon, with quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The Interagency Senior Pass and Access Pass qualify for a 50% discount on camping fees. Be aware that high altitude sickness may occur at this elevation.
