About
Panther Bay Park is a conveniently located U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campground on Norfork Lake in the Ozark Mountains of north-central Arkansas. Situated between the Highway 62 and 101 bridges, the park provides quick access to both highway systems while offering a wooded setting on the shores of the 22,000-acre lake with 550 miles of shoreline.
The campground features 15 campsites, all equipped with electric hookups. Water is available for filling holding tanks, and facilities include restrooms with showers, vault toilets, a sanitary dump station, and drinking water. The park has two boat launch ramps providing direct access to Norfork Lake, along with a swim beach, picnic shelter, playground, and picnic sites. Panther Bay Marina is nearby for additional boating services.
Norfork Lake is fed by the North Fork River and is known for excellent fishing opportunities including bass, walleye, crappie, bream, and catfish. The densely wooded hills surrounding the lake offer scenic views characteristic of the Ozark Mountains. David's Trail, a 17-mile hiking trail, passes through the park with three lake viewpoints. The Robinson Point National Recreation Trail is nearby, and the 1.2-million-acre Ozark National Forest lies just south of the lake.
