About

Cranfield Park sits on an island surrounded by the clear waters of Norfork Lake in the Ozark Mountains. As the closest campground to Mountain Home, it provides convenient access to town amenities while offering a peaceful setting with well-shaded sites and pleasing lake views. The campground is accessed via causeway and features 69 sites, with most surrounded by mature shade trees. Norfork Lake covers 22,000 acres with 550 miles of shoreline, fed by the North Fork River and its tributaries. The lake is known for excellent fishing opportunities, with populations of bass, walleye, crappie, bream, and catfish. The varied waters provide secluded coves ideal for water sports and open stretches perfect for sailing. A 0.75-mile nature trail is accessible from the campground, leading to scenic overlooks of the densely wooded Ozark hills and hollows. The campground recently underwent major improvements including new boat ramp parking accommodating up to 100 vehicles with trailers.
