The campground is open and accepting reservations. The swim beach and day-use areas remain closed due to flood damage and ongoing construction from park improvement work that began May 2025. The boat ramp and new expanded parking area are operational.

About

Cranfield Park is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campground positioned on a scenic river island on Norfork Lake, making it the closest developed campground to Mountain Home, Arkansas. The 69 campsites range from standard electric sites with 30-50 amp service and water hookups to three tent-only walk-in sites. Two group shelters are also available for reservation. The marina and boat ramp provide easy lake access for fishing and water sports. Norfork Lake spans 22,000 acres with 550 miles of shoreline, fed by the North Fork River in the heart of the Ozark Mountains. Anglers target bass, walleye, crappie, bream, and catfish throughout the lake's secluded coves and open stretches. The campground offers a 0.75-mile nature trail, two playgrounds, and an amphitheater for evening programs. The campground is part of 19 developed USACE recreation areas on Norfork Lake. Reservations are handled through Recreation.gov, with a $10 cancellation fee if cancelled within two days of arrival. Mountain Home is just five miles away for supplies and services.
