About
Bidwell Point Park is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campground nestled on a forested peninsula along Norfork Lake in the Arkansas Ozarks. The 48 standard electric sites feature 30 or 50-amp electric hookups and water connections, with paved back-in driveways accommodating RVs and trailers up to 30-39 feet depending on the site. Modern amenities include flush restrooms with showers and a dump station. The campground centers around a large swim beach ideal for families, with a playground nearby. A reservable group shelter with electric hookups can host gatherings up to 200 people. Norfork Lake covers 22,000 acres fed by the North Fork River and ranks among Arkansas's best striped bass fisheries. Night fishing with lights for crappie and white bass is increasingly popular. Nearby, the Robinson Point National Recreation Trail offers panoramic Ozark views, and the 1.2-million-acre Ozark National Forest lies just south of the lake. Firewood must be purchased locally to prevent pest spread.
Directions
From Mountain Home, AR, travel 9 miles east on US 412/62, then 2 miles north on SR 101. Cross the lake on the 101 bridge and take the first access road to the right. Follow signs into the campground.
