About

Bidwell Point Park is tucked below towering oak and pines on the shores of Norfork Lake in the Ozark Mountains of northern Arkansas. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this family-friendly campground offers 48 campsites with electric hookups, many featuring scenic waterfront views of the lake. The park maintains a large swim beach perfect for families, a playground for children, and a boat launch ramp for easy water access. Norfork Lake is renowned as one of Arkansas's best striped bass fisheries, with prime black bass fishing from September through May. Night fishing with lights for crappie and white bass has become increasingly popular. The lake provides both open stretches ideal for sailing and quiet, secluded coves perfect for water skiing and other water sports. The 22,000-acre lake is sourced by the North Fork River as it winds through the rugged, heavily eroded Ozark plateau. The campground features a group picnic shelter with electric hookups that can accommodate up to 200 guests. Nearby attractions include the Robinson Point National Recreation Trail offering panoramic Ozark views, and the expansive 1.2-million-acre Ozark National Forest just south of the lake. Sites are well-shaded and situated among mature trees, creating a pleasant camping environment during the operating season.

From Mountain Home, AR, travel 9 miles east on US 412/62, then 2 miles north on SR 101. Cross the lake on 101 bridge and take the 1st access road to the right. Follow signs into campground.
