About

Henderson Park is an established U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campground situated on a scenic peninsula in the central area of Norfork Lake in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. The facility features 36 campsites, all equipped with electric hookups and access to water for filling holding tanks. Each site includes a picnic table, campfire ring, and grill, with many sites offering spectacular lake views and shade. Norfork Lake covers 22,000 acres with 550 miles of shoreline, fed by the North Fork River and its tributaries. The lake offers plenty of secluded coves ideal for water sports and breezy, open stretches perfect for sailing. Henderson Park provides convenient lake access with an on-site marina and boat ramp. The lake is home to a wide array of fresh water game fish including bass, walleye, crappie, bream, and catfish, making it a popular destination for anglers. The surrounding densely wooded hills and hollows of the Ozarks provide excellent hiking opportunities, with nearby trails like the Robinson Point National Recreation Trail and David's Trail offering picturesque overlooks. The town of Mountain Home, considered one of the best places to live for sportsmen, is just 10 miles west on Highway 62/412. Henderson Park is one of 19 developed Corps of Engineers parks lining Norfork Lake, providing ample recreational opportunities throughout the region.

From Mountain Home, Arkansas, travel east on US Highway 62/412 for 10 miles to the town of Henderson. Look for park signs for the park entrance on the left.
