About

Ozette Campground sits on the north shore of Lake Ozette, the third-largest natural lake in Washington State, just inside the western boundary of Olympic National Park. This small, intimate campground with 15 first-come, first-served sites offers campers direct access to lakeside activities including kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. The campground serves as an excellent base for exploring the famous Ozette Triangle loop trail, which leads to coastal wilderness beaches and archaeological sites. The campground features unpaved sites nestled among old-growth forest, with vault toilets available year-round and seasonal flush toilets during summer months. Each site includes a picnic table and fire grate. Due to its remote location on the far northwest corner of the Olympic Peninsula, Ozette provides a quieter camping experience compared to more accessible park campgrounds. The area is popular with paddlers and hikers seeking wilderness beach access via the well-maintained boardwalk trails to Sand Point and Cape Alava. Campers should note that there is no potable water available at the campground; visitors must bring their own water supply. The maximum vehicle length is 21 feet, making this campground best suited for smaller RVs, van campers, and tent campers. Some sites may be unavailable during winter months due to flooding conditions.
