About
Outlet Channel Recreation Area is a day-use facility situated below the dam at Enid Lake in Yalobusha County, Mississippi. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this area does not offer overnight camping. Instead, it provides 27 individual picnic sites equipped with grills, serving tables, and picnic tables, along with three group picnic shelters available for reservation at $50 per day. The recreation area is especially popular among anglers, featuring a handicap-accessible fishing pier and excellent bank fishing opportunities along the outlet channel. Two fish cleaning stations are available for visitors who catch their limit. Three comfort stations with flush toilets serve the area. Nestled among native pine and oak trees, the surrounding woods provide habitat for wildlife including deer, squirrels, and various bird species. Nearby amenities include a playground, a half-mile fitness trail, and sports facilities for volleyball, softball, soccer, and horseshoes. The area is conveniently located off Interstate 55 via exit 233.
Directions
