Winds gusting as high as 40 mph and will lead to blowing and drifting snow. * WHERE...A portion of Northern Lower Michigan. * WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.

About

Otsego Lake State Park Campground sits on 62 acres along the shores of Otsego Lake near Gaylord, Michigan. The modern campground features 155 generously-sized sites divided between north and south loops, most with views of the lake and shaded by mature oak, maple, and pine trees. All sites include 20/30-amp electrical service and are located within easy reach of the park's extensive amenities. The park offers over half a mile of sandy beach with two designated swim areas, an accessible boardwalk, and a beach wheelchair available upon request. Campers can enjoy fishing from the accessible pier or launch boats from the two-lane paved ramp to explore the 1,971-acre Otsego Lake, known for year-round fishing including bluegill, perch, crappie, bass, walleye, pike, and sturgeon. The park includes modern restroom facilities with showers from mid-May through mid-October, a sanitation station, and vault toilets for off-season camping. Additional amenities include two picnic shelters, a beach house with a park store, paddlesport rentals, a playground with basketball and volleyball courts, and recycling facilities. The Iron Belle Trail runs past the park entrance, offering opportunities for biking, hiking, and snowmobiling. Located just south of downtown Gaylord with convenient I-75 access, the park provides an ideal base for exploring northern Michigan's year-round recreational opportunities.
