About

Established in 1921, Burt Lake State Park Campground is situated on the southeast corner of Burt Lake in northern Michigan. The modern campground contains 306 sites divided into east and west loops, offering a mix of large sunny sites with lake views and shaded sites nestled among oaks, maples, and pines. All sites feature electric hookups with either 20/30-amp or 50-amp service, and some pull-through sites are available. The campground provides four modern toilet and shower buildings, a sanitation station, and freshwater spigots throughout. The park's 2,000 feet of sandy shoreline includes a designated swimming beach, boat launch, and playground. Burt Lake is a 27-square-mile recreational lake at the heart of the Inland Waterway, a chain of rivers and lakes offering 38 miles of navigable waterways connecting to Lake Huron. Fishing is popular for walleye, perch, pike, bluegill, and other species. The park also features a beach house with concessions and kayak rentals, a reservable picnic shelter, and access to the paved North Central State Trail for biking. A rustic organizational campground and mini cabin are also available. Pets are welcome throughout the park except the designated swim beach.
