* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...The following counties, in Indiana, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union and Wayne, the following counties, in Kentucky, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson, and the following counties, in Ohio, Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Fayette, Greene, Hamilton, Highland, Hocking, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto and Warren. * WHEN...Through Wednesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Soils remain moist and excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rainfall through Wednesday morning is expected to be between 2 and 3 inches, with higher amounts expected along a narrow west-east axis. Turkey Ridge Shelter is a day-use picnic facility situated within East Fork State Park in Clermont County, Ohio. This reservable shelter has a capacity of 100 people, making it ideal for large family reunions, group outings, and community events. The shelter is part of East Fork State Park, which encompasses over 10,000 acres and features a 2,160-acre lake. The park offers extensive recreational opportunities including over 80 miles of hiking trails, including the 12-mile Backpack Trail and the 37-mile Steven Newman Worldwalker Perimeter Trail. Visitors can access fishing, boating, swimming beaches, and a variety of camping options throughout the park. The Turkey Ridge Shelter area provides picnic amenities and is surrounded by the natural beauty of southwestern Ohio's rolling hills and lakeside landscapes. Reservations for the Turkey Ridge Shelter can be made online through the Ohio State Parks reservation system or by calling the reservation line. The shelter is available year-round, subject to weather conditions and park operations.

Directions

From Bethel, Ohio, take State Route 125 east for approximately 7 miles. Turn left onto Elklick Road and continue for about 2 miles to reach East Fork State Park. The Turkey Ridge Shelter is located within the park's picnic area.
