About
Burr Oak Campground sits within one of Ohio's premier resort state parks, offering a rustic camping experience amid the scenic wilderness of southeast Ohio. The main campground provides 90 non-electric campsites with convenient access to flush toilets, hot showers, and a dump station. For those seeking a more primitive experience, 15 additional sites are available at Dock #2 and 8 sites at Dock #3, located along the shoreline of the 664-acre Burr Oak Lake. The park epitomizes the wilderness character of southeast Ohio, with miles of forested ridges and hollows comprising the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Hardwood forests dominated by oaks and hickories provide spectacular fall colors and support diverse wildlife including white-tailed deer, wild turkey, ruffed grouse, and various waterfowl species. The campground offers access to 10 miles of hiking trails and an 18-mile backpack trail, as well as excellent fishing, boating, and swimming opportunities on the lake. Burr Oak State Park was established in 1952 following the construction of the Tom Jenkins Dam. The area has a rich history dating back to Native American inhabitants and later coal mining operations. Today, the park blends modern conveniences with Ohio's wilderness spirit, providing campers with a peaceful retreat among the wooded hills and valley farms of Morgan County.

Located in southeast Ohio off County Road 14 in Morgan County. From the lodge address: 10220 Burr Oak Lodge Road, Glouster, OH 45732. The main campground is in the northern section of the park on the east side of the lake near Boat Dock 3 and the Buckeye Trail.
