Burr Oak State Park Campground sits on 2,593 acres of wooded hills and valley farms in southeast Ohio's Morgan County. Created in 1950 with the damming of Tom's Run, the 664-acre Burr Oak Lake provides the backdrop for this resort-style state park. The main campground offers 123 sites with a mix of electric and non-electric options, all featuring picnic tables and fire rings per Ohio State Parks standards. The campground provides modern amenities including showerhouses with flush toilets and a dump station for RVs. Site 33 is ADA accessible. For those seeking a more primitive experience, 15 sites are available at Dock #2 and 8 sites at Dock #3. The park's nature center hosts seasonal naturalist programs, and miles of trails wind through the Appalachian landscape where deer, wild turkey, beavers, and waterfowl are common sights. Campers have access to five boat launch ramps, a swimming beach, and the lodge across the lake offers a full-service restaurant. Reservations can be made through ReserveOhio up to six months in advance. The park's fall foliage and spring wildflowers make it a year-round destination.
