About
Lake Hope State Park's 66 family cottages provide year-round lodging in one of Ohio's most scenic and secluded settings. Located entirely within the 26,824-acre Zaleski State Forest, the park is characterized by steep gorges, narrow ridges, and remnants of the region's historic iron furnace industry. Three cottage types accommodate different group sizes and preferences. The 25 Wildlife (Standard) Cabins sleep up to five guests with comfortable, no-frills accommodations. The 21 Iron Furnace Legacy Cabins sleep four and feature beautiful floor-to-ceiling stone fireplaces with wood-burning capability, finished in native hardwood. The 20 Forest Legacy Cabins are the largest, sleeping four to eight guests, with some featuring screened porches. All cottages come equipped with linens, towels, complete kitchens with microwave ovens, heat, air conditioning, and outdoor grills and fire rings. The rustic dining lodge, built of native stone and lumber, houses the Stone Terrace Restaurant with spectacular lake views, plus a general store for supplies and firewood. For larger groups, Laurel Lodge sleeps up to 22 people with kitchen facilities and a stone fireplace.
