* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of north central Ohio, including the following counties, Ashland and Richland. * WHEN...Until 1100 AM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1004 AM EDT, gauge reports indicated high water levels continue along the Black Fork of the Mohican River into Charles Mill Lake. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain fell this past Friday through the weekend, resulting in the high waters. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. The pool level on Charles Mill Lake continues to rise after multiple rounds of rain since Friday evening. Flooding around Charles Mill Lake and upstream on the Black Fork of the Mohican River will continue, resulting in several road closures. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mohican Campground is the main family campground at Mohican State Park, situated in the scenic Mohican Memorial State Forest in Ashland County, Ohio. The campground features 153 established campsites spread across hilly, wooded terrain, offering a peaceful camping experience among mature trees. Sites are available with full hookups (electric, water, and sewer), electric-only hookups, and non-electric options for tent campers. All sites include fire rings and picnic tables. The campground provides modern amenities including flush toilets, hot showers, a camp store, and WiFi connectivity. Pull-through sites are available on select odd-numbered pads, accommodating larger RVs and trailers. Many sites are positioned along or near the Clear Fork of the Mohican River, offering scenic water views and access to one of Ohio's most popular recreational rivers. The location provides excellent access to over 13 miles of hiking trails, an 8.5-mile mountain bike trail, and numerous outdoor activities throughout Mohican State Park and the surrounding state forest. The campground operates year-round with reservations available through ReserveOhio.com.
