About

Oregon Campground sits along Highway 26 in the southern Elkhorn Mountains of the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, approximately 12 miles west of Unity, Oregon. The campground features 8 primitive sites, each equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and parking spur. Vault toilets are available, but campers must bring their own drinking water as none is provided. The location on the Journey Through Time Scenic Byway makes it a convenient overnight stop for travelers between John Day and the eastern Oregon high desert. OHV enthusiasts will appreciate the adjacent Oregon OHV Trailhead, which serves as a midway access point for the Blue Mountain OHV Trail System. The light usage means sites are typically available, and the $10 nightly fee can be paid at the self-service fee station or reserved through Recreation.gov.
