About

Ole Bull State Park consists of 132 acres along the Kettle Creek Valley in Potter County's Black Forest region of north central Pennsylvania. The park features two camping areas separated by Kettle Creek, connected by a bridge. Area #1 is located on the northern bank with 19 electric sites, while Area #2 sits on the southern bank with 24 electric sites and 38 non-electric sites, totaling 81 campsites. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and level gravel pad. The campground provides modern restrooms with showers in Area #2 that remain open year-round for all campers. Water hydrants are conveniently located throughout both camping areas, and a sanitary dump station is available on-site. Pets are permitted in Area #2 for an additional nightly fee. The park is named after Norwegian violinist Ole Bull, who attempted to establish a Norwegian colony here in the 1850s. Ole Bull State Park offers excellent opportunities for fishing in Kettle Creek, hiking, and experiencing the natural beauty of Potter County's wilderness. The park's location in the Black Forest region provides visitors with a remote, peaceful camping experience surrounded by dense tree cover and mountainous terrain. Reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance through the Pennsylvania State Parks reservation system.
