About

Ole Bull State Park campground sits along Kettle Creek in Potter County's remote Black Forest region of north-central Pennsylvania. The 132-acre park honors Ole Bornemann Bull, a Norwegian violinist who attempted to establish a colony for Norwegian immigrants in this area during the 1850s. The campground offers both electric and non-electric modern sites spread across two camping areas, with Area #2 designated as pet-friendly. All campsites include a picnic table, fire ring, and level gravel pad. The campground provides modern amenities including hot showers, flush restrooms, and a sanitary dump station. Electric sites feature 50-amp service; water and sewer hookups are not available at individual sites, though water hydrants are located throughout. The surrounding wilderness offers excellent trout fishing in Kettle Creek, several hiking trails, a swimming area, and mountain biking opportunities. The park also maintains a 1.5-story ADA-accessible log cabin sleeping 12 guests, available for year-round rental. Reservations for campsites can be made up to 11 months in advance through Reserve America or by calling PA Parks.
