The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * Affected Area... North and central Georgia * Timing... This afternoon into early evening. * Winds... NW at 10-15 mph; with gusts as high as 25 mph. * Relative Humidity... Falling below 25% by early afternoon. * Temperatures... 30s to 40s. * Impacts... With elevated winds and low relative humidities, extremely dangerous fire weather conditions are possible.

About

Old Highway 41 #3 Campground sits on the banks of Allatoona Lake, one of the most visited Corps of Engineers lakes in the nation with nearly 7 million visitors annually. The campground provides 44 spacious campsites (43 standard, 1 RV) all equipped with electric and water hookups. Lakefront sites offer sweeping views of the vast lake, while all sites are conveniently located near the boat dock and swimming beach. The campground offers fire rings, picnic areas, drinking water, flush toilets, and showers for a comfortable camping experience. Allatoona Lake is annually stocked with bass, crappie, bream, gar, and catfish, making it a popular destination for anglers. A fishing dock is provided at the campground, with additional fishing jetties available at numerous shoreline locations along the 270 miles of lake shoreline. Located only 40 miles from Atlanta on the Etowah River, a tributary of the Coosa River, the serene lake and peaceful surroundings offer visitors respite from city living. The nearby city of Acworth offers restaurants, shopping, and a historic downtown area. Historic sites like the Etowah Indian Mounds and Booth Western Art Museum are a close drive to Cartersville. Red Top Mountain State Park with over 15 miles of trails is nearby, along with eight marinas offering boat rentals and restaurants.

Physical address: 6700 North Main Street, Acworth, GA 30102. From I-75 take Exit 283 toward Emerson. Merge onto Old Allatoona Rd SE. Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto LakePoint Pkway. Continue straight onto Lakepoint Pkwy SE for 1.5 mi. Continue onto Hwy 293 SE/Old 41 Hwy NW for 2 miles, then turn left into campground.
