The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Red Flag Warning for gusty winds, low relative humidity, and dry fuels, which is in effect from noon today to 7 PM EST this evening. NW at 10-15 mph; with gusts as high as 25 mph. * Relative Humidity... Falling below 25% by early afternoon. * Temperatures... 30s to 40s. * Impacts... With elevated winds and low relative humidities, extremely dangerous fire weather conditions are possible.

McKinney Campground sits on the banks of Allatoona Lake in the green rolling hills of Georgia, approximately 30 miles from Atlanta. The campground is one of the most popular Army Corps of Engineers facilities in the nation, offering 150 spacious campsites conveniently located near a dock and swimming beach. Sites are equipped with water and electric hookups, and waterfront sites are available for premium views of the lake. The campground features modern amenities including flush toilets, hot showers, drinking water, fire rings, picnic tables, and a dump station. Allatoona Lake is one of the most frequently visited Corps of Engineers lakes in the nation, attracting nearly 7 million visitors annually. The lake's 270 miles of shoreline provide abundant opportunities for fishing, boating, swimming, and wildlife observation. The lake is regularly stocked with bass, crappie, bream, gar, and catfish, making it a prime destination for anglers. The campground's fishing dock provides convenient lake access. The surrounding area offers numerous attractions including Red Top Mountain State Park with over 15 miles of trails, eight marinas with boat rentals, the Etowah Indian Mounds, and the Allatoona Lake Visitor Center overlooking the dam. The nearby cities of Acworth and Woodstock provide shopping and dining options. Reservations are managed by Bartow County through their online system.
