North Toledo Bend State Park occupies over 900 acres along the western shore of Toledo Bend Reservoir, a 185,000-acre impoundment straddling the Louisiana-Texas border that consistently ranks among the top bass fishing lakes in the country. The campground offers 63 sites split between Loop A (27 sites) and Loop B (36 sites), with premium sites commanding direct lake views and improved sites positioned a short walk from the water. All sites include water and electric hookups, a picnic table, and a fire ring; sewer hookups are not available, but a dump station serves the campground. Facilities cater to extended stays with flush restrooms, bathhouses with hot showers, and an on-site laundry. The park's day-use area includes an Olympic-size swimming pool open seasonally, two pavilions with electrical lighting and grills, and a meeting room accommodating 60 people. The double-lane boat ramp, large parking lot, and fish cleaning station make it easy to spend full days on the water chasing largemouth bass, crappie, and catfish. Beyond fishing, the park features two 18-hole disc golf courses and trails for hiking. Ten deluxe cabins sleeping up to six are available for those preferring more comfort, and a group camp with five dormitories can accommodate up to 150 guests. The park welcomes pets in outdoor areas when leashed.

From Zwolle, head west on LA-3229 for approximately 9 miles to North Toledo Park Road. Turn right and follow the road to the park entrance at 2907 North Toledo Park Road, Zwolle, LA 71486.
