About

Lakeview Campground sits on the 185,000-acre Toledo Bend Reservoir in the Sabine National Forest of East Texas. This small, primitive campground offers 10 sites designed for tent camping and small RVs up to 24 feet. Each site features a picnic table, grill, tent pad, and garbage can. Potable water is available from two centrally located hydrants. The campground serves as a trailhead for the Trail Between the Lakes, a hiking route connecting Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn reservoirs. Fishing and picnicking opportunities abound along the reservoir shoreline. The area is maintained and operated by the Sabine River Authority of Texas. Lakeview is a first-come, first-served campground with no advance reservations. Note that the facility may close during major storms or natural disasters that affect the water system.
