About

North Pines Campground is one of three reservation campgrounds in Yosemite Valley, situated along the Merced River at 4,000 feet elevation in California's Sierra Nevada. The campground features 80 sites nestled among a diverse forest of California black oak, Ponderosa pine, Incense-cedar, White fir, and Whiteleaf Manzanita, offering a pleasant mix of sun and shade with views of Yosemite's iconic granite cliffs. The campground provides paved roads and parking spurs, flush toilets, drinking water, and is serviced by Yosemite's free shuttle bus. Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire ring, and bear-proof food storage locker. Nearby Curry Village offers fee-based showers, a general store, restaurants, and activity services. The location is ideal for accessing Yosemite Valley's world-class hiking trails, including the easy two-mile walk to Mirror Lake and the challenging Half Dome trek. Sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet and trailers up to 35 feet, though not all sites can handle maximum lengths. No hookups are available, but a free dump station is located at nearby Upper Pines.
