About

North Pines Campground occupies a prime location along the Merced River in Yosemite Valley, surrounded by California black oak, Ponderosa pine, and incense cedar with views of iconic granite cliffs. At 4,000 feet elevation, it provides access to classic Yosemite features including Half Dome, Nevada and Vernal Falls, and Mirror Lake. The campground sits on the free shuttle route with Curry Village services nearby. The 81 sites accommodate tents, RVs up to 40 feet, and trailers up to 35 feet, though not all sites can handle maximum lengths. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and bear-proof food locker (43" × 28" × 35"). Flush toilets and drinking water are available seasonally. Showers are not on-site but available for a fee at Curry Village. A free dump station is located at nearby Upper Pines Campground. Reservations for 2026 are available via an early access lottery, with remaining availability released on the 15th of each month at 7:00 a.m. PT, up to five months in advance. Sites typically sell out within minutes of release. A 7-day camping limit applies from May 1 through September 14.
