North Fork Campground sits on the shore of Rough River Lake, a 5,100-acre reservoir in the rolling, forested hills of rural south central Kentucky. The campground offers 81 sites: 49 with electric (30/50 amp) and water hookups, and 32 primitive tent sites with access to shared water and comfort stations. Several campsites are lakefront while others are within easy walking distance of the water. Amenities include multiple shower houses, two boat ramps, a dump station, playground, fishing pier, basketball court, beach area with shelters, and 6 miles of hiking trails. The lake itself is home to bass, crappie, and catfish, with bass tournaments occurring throughout the year. Pontoon, johnboat, and jet ski rentals are available at nearby marinas. The historic Green Farm is adjacent to the lake, and Mammoth Cave National Park is about an hour's drive away.

Directions

From I-64 West, take Exit 105 toward Palmyra/Corydon onto IN-135 South for 16.7 miles. Continue on Bypass Road KY-79 for 2.1 miles, then turn right onto KY-79 for 10.1 miles. Continue on 1st Avenue/KY-79S briefly, turn slight right onto US-60 for 11.8 miles, then turn left onto KY-259/KY-79 for 9.1 miles to 9077 South Highway 259, McDaniels, KY.
