Moutardier Day Use area is located on Nolin River Lake, a 5,795-acre reservoir created by Nolin Dam that attracts over two million visitors annually. The facility sits adjacent to Moutardier Campground and Marina in Edmonson County, Kentucky. The day-use area offers a full range of amenities including restrooms, playgrounds, picnic tables, a boat ramp with courtesy docks, fishing piers, and a reservable group shelter. Nolin Lake is known for its distinctive blue-green water and ranks among Kentucky's top lakes for catfish, bass, crappie, and walleye fishing. The boat ramp provides convenient lake access for fishing and boating, while fishing piers accommodate anglers of all skill levels. Several hiking trails wind along the shoreline and into the surrounding forest, including the Shady Creek Trail located in the Moutardier Recreation Area, known for its wildflowers and greenery. The facility is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District.

From Bowling Green: Follow US 31W North for 14 miles, turn left on KY 101. In 6 miles, KY 101 becomes KY 259 North. Follow KY 259 North for 16 miles, turn right on KY 2067. Drive 2 miles and follow signs for Moutardier. From Louisville: Take I-65 South for 45 miles to exit 91, follow WK Pkwy for 29 miles to exit 107 (KY 259). Follow KY 259 South for 12 miles, turn left on KY 2067 and drive 2 miles.
