Moutardier Day Use
This is a day-use area only with no overnight camping. The group shelter is currently not accepting reservations due to restroom damage from the April 2025 high water event, but individuals may still use the shelter during this closure period.

About
Moutardier Day Use area is located adjacent to Moutardier Campground and Moutardier Marina on Nolin River Lake, a 5,795-acre reservoir created by Nolin Dam that draws over two million visitors annually. The day-use facility provides access to one of Kentucky's top lakes for catfish, bass, crappie, and walleye fishing, known for its unique blue-green water. Facilities include restrooms, playgrounds, picnic tables, a boat ramp, courtesy docks, fishing piers, and a reservable group shelter. Several hiking trails wind along the shoreline and into the surrounding forest, including the Shady Creek Trail, known for its wildflowers and greenery. Nearby Moutardier, Ponderosa, and Wax Marinas offer pontoon and johnboat rentals, boat slips, groceries, bait, and fuel. This is a day-use facility only. For overnight camping, visitors should reserve sites at the adjacent Moutardier Campground.
Directions
From Bowling Green, KY: Follow US 31W North for approximately 14 miles, then turn left onto KY 101. In approximately 6 miles, Hwy 101 becomes Hwy 259 North. Follow Hwy 259 North for 16 miles before turning right on KY 2067. Drive approximately 2 miles to the Moutardier area, past Moutardier Campground. From Louisville, KY: Take I-65 south for approximately 45 miles. Take exit 91, follow WK Pkwy for 29 miles to exit 107 (Hwy 259). Follow 259 South for 12 miles. Turn left on KY 2067. Drive approximately 2 miles to the Moutardier area.
