Moutardier Campground sits on the shores of Nolin River Lake in the rolling landscape of southern Kentucky. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this 167-site campground offers modern amenities including electric and water hookups at most sites, with flush restrooms and shower houses throughout the facility. Campsites are located along the shoreline, providing convenient lake access for fishing, boating, and water sports. Nolin River Lake spans 5,795 acres and is known for its distinctive blue-green water and exceptional fishing opportunities for catfish, bass, crappie, and walleye. The campground provides boat ramps, and nearby marinas offer pontoon and john boat rentals, groceries, bait, and fuel. Several hiking trails wind along the shoreline and into the surrounding forest, including the Shady Creek Trail known for its wildflowers and greenery. The campground is unstaffed but managed by volunteers. Mammoth Cave National Park is a short drive or ferry ride away, and the surrounding area offers golf courses, riding stables, and additional outdoor recreation opportunities. Reservations are required and can be made through Recreation.gov.

Directions

From Bowling Green: Follow US 31W North for 14 miles, turn left onto KY 101. In 6 miles, KY 101 becomes KY 259 North. Follow KY 259 North for 16 miles, turn right on KY 2067. Drive 2 miles to campground signs on the right. From Louisville: Take I-65 South for 45 miles to exit 91, follow WK Pkwy for 29 miles to exit 107 (KY 259). Follow 259 South for 12 miles, turn left on KY 2067, drive 2 miles to campground.
