New Prospect Horse Riders Campground serves equestrians exploring the 30,000-acre Kettle Moraine State Forest Northern Unit. Each of the 22 family sites includes a 30x30-foot graveled camping pad with electric hookups (20/30/50 amp), a picnic table, fire ring, high-line hitching post, and pipe corral. Corral sizes vary: 14 sites have 10x10-foot corrals while 8 sites offer larger 12x12-foot corrals. Three group sites accommodate up to 20 people each with multiple corrals. The campground provides vault toilets, potable drinking water, a sanitary dump station, and trash/recycling services. A covered stable houses 24 box stalls and manure bunkers are available for horse waste. Registered campers can access showers at the nearby Mauthe Lake Campground facility. An open-air picnic shelter serves as a gathering space. The 33-mile bridle trail system departs directly from camp, with additional 2.5-mile and 4-mile loop options. All riders 16 and older must display a valid Wisconsin State Trail Pass. A vehicle admission sticker is required for all motor vehicles entering the forest.

Directions

From Fond du Lac, head southeast on US-45 S. Turn east onto County Road SS and continue to the campground entrance at W404 County Road SS, Campbellsport.
