About
The group campground at Kohler-Andrae State Park provides primitive tent camping for organized groups along Wisconsin's Lake Michigan coastline. Two sites share a combined capacity of 50 people, making it suitable for scout troops, youth organizations, and other groups seeking a natural setting near the beach. Each site includes fire rings and picnic tables, with vault toilets serving the group camping area. The park encompasses over 1,000 acres of sand dunes, wetlands, and forested areas. Campers can explore the Kohler Dunes Cordwalk, hike the Black River Trail system, or spend time on the beach. The Sanderling Nature Center offers educational programs and exhibits about the local ecosystem. A dump station and freshwater fill-up are available in the park for those needing RV services elsewhere. Group reservations must be made in advance through Wisconsin's state park reservation system. Youth groups require adult supervision at a ratio of one adult per 10 members. Pets are permitted at campsites with an 8-foot leash and waste removal requirements.
Directions
From Sheboygan, take I-43 south to exit 120 (County Road V). Head east on County Road V for approximately 1.5 miles to the park entrance.
