About

Long Lake Campground is located in the Kettle Moraine State Forest Northern Unit along the east shore of Long Lake. This established campground offers 200 sites for campers to enjoy the scenic glacial landscape of southeastern Wisconsin. The campground provides modern amenities including flush and vault toilets, shower facilities, a sanitary dump station, and recycling stations for registered campers. ADA-accessible campsites are available throughout the facility. The Long Lake Recreation Area surrounds the campground, featuring Long Lake, a 3-mile long impoundment of the East Branch of the Milwaukee River. The lake has relatively clear water and is stocked by the Wisconsin DNR and the Long Lake Fishing Club. A boat launch provides access for motorboats and other watercraft. The area connects to an extensive trail network, including a 6.5-mile limestone surfaced trail linking to the Mauthe Lake Recreation Area. Reservations are required for all sites and can be made online or by phone for same-day arrival or up to 11 months in advance. Campers should proceed directly to their designated campsite upon arrival, as check-in is not required. Firewood is available 24/7 from a vending trailer at the campground. A state park vehicle admission sticker is required.
