Naval Live Oaks Youth Group Camping is a specialized campground within Gulf Islands National Seashore, exclusively serving organized youth groups comprised primarily of young people under age 18. Located near Gulf Breeze, Florida, this tents-only facility provides a single large group camping area that can accommodate 10 to 40 campers per reservation. The campground offers essential amenities including year-round flush toilets, seasonal hot showers, potable water, and trash collection. A covered picnic shelter and designated campfire ring serve as central gathering areas. The site has paved paths and sidewalks to access the pavilion and restrooms, though the camping area itself remains undeveloped. Campers enjoy direct access to Pensacola Bay for swimming, kayaking, and other water recreation in the shallow, protected waters. Over 7.5 miles of hiking trails wind through the Naval Live Oaks Area, allowing groups to explore the historic live oak forest. The grounds are open from 8 AM to sunset daily. Reservations are required year-round and must be made by emailing the park at guis_special_use_permits@nps.gov. Nightly fees are $20 for groups of 10-25 campers and $30 for groups of 26-40 campers.

From Interstate 10: Take Exit 12 onto I-110 exit 1B Gregory Street East, merge onto 30 E Chase Street, turn left onto Bayfront Parkway/Highway 98 East. Stay on U.S. 98 for 4.1 miles. National Seashore Headquarters is located on the right at 1801 Gulf Breeze Parkway.
